Sigalda Dam is part of Sigalda Power Station on the Tungnaa river system in Iceland's highlands. The dam creates Krokslon reservoir, which stores and regulates water before it is used for power generation.
The dam is 42 metres high and 925 metres long. Krokslon covers about 14 square kilometres and has a storage capacity of approximately 140 GL. Sigalda Power Station uses a head of about 74 metres and entered service in 1978.
After passing through the power station, the water continues through a tailrace canal into Hrauneyjalon reservoir.
