Ljósafoss Dam is the name used here for the dam and intake structures associated with Ljosafoss Power Station on the Sog river. The station stands at the outlet of Lake Ulfljotsvatn and entered service in 1937.

Water from Ulfljotsvatn is conveyed to the power station, which harnesses the drop at Ljosafoss. The station has a total head of about 17 metres and an installed capacity of approximately 15 MW.

Ljosafoss was the first major hydropower station built on the Sog river and marked an important milestone in Iceland's electrification.
