Langavatn is a natural lake used as regulated storage for Mjolkar Hydropower Plant in the Westfjords. Its water level is controlled by Langavatn Dam and water is conveyed onward through the hydropower system.
The lake provides approximately 3.2 GL of storage and helps balance water availability for electricity generation.
