The first Selvogur Lighthouse was built in 1919. It was rebuilt in 1931 as a 15.8-metre concrete tower. The lighthouse was electrified in 1988 and equipped with a radar responder.
The lighthouse is 15.8 metres high. The light has a listed range of 14 nautical miles.
