Gilsa Dam forms Gilsarlon, the intake reservoir for Blanda Power Station on Audkuluheidi. Water from Blondulon reaches the reservoir after travelling roughly 25 kilometres through a network of canals and lakes.
The dam is about 34 metres high. Gilsarlon covers approximately 5 square kilometres and has a storage capacity of around 20 GL.
From the reservoir, water travels through a roughly 1.3-kilometre canal to the intake of Blanda Power Station.
