About Tungnafellsjökull
Tungnafellsjökull is an ice cap in Iceland's central Highlands, northwest of Vatnajökull. The glacier sits on a mountainous massif rising above the Sprengisandur region and is surrounded by remote Highland terrain. Compared with Iceland's larger glaciers, it receives relatively few visitors and is mainly suited to well-prepared travellers.
