Hvítanes Seal Watching is a coastal or beach area in the Westfjords, shaped by open shoreline, sea views and the surrounding landscape. Tides, light and weather can change the character of the coast significantly, making each visit look and feel different.

The visit can be combined with Súðavík and Eyrar Church. Around Icelandic coasts, always keep a safe distance from strong surf and pay close attention to local conditions.

Safety

Keep a respectful distance from seals and do not approach them. Visitors are advised to remain at least 100 metres away whenever conditions allow.
