Bjarnalon Reservoir

Bjarnalon is a reservoir on the Thjorsa river and forms part of the water system serving Burfell Power Station. The reservoir is retained by dam structures that regulate water entering the hydropower system.

Although relatively small compared with Iceland's major storage reservoirs, Bjarnalon plays an important role in the interconnected network of reservoirs, dams and power stations in the Thjorsa and Tungnaa catchment.
