Ánastaðastapi is a coastal or beach area in Northwest Iceland, shaped by open shoreline, sea views and the surrounding landscape. Tides, light and weather can change the character of the coast significantly, making each visit look and feel different. The visit can be combined with Hvammstangi and Illugastaðir Coast . Around Icelandic coasts, always keep a safe distance from strong surf and pay close attention to local conditions.

The place can form part of a wider trip through North Iceland, combining naturally with other landscape, heritage and travel experiences depending on interests and season.

Safety

Access to the area may be restricted until July because of the lambing season. Visitors should respect closures and landowner instructions.
