About Álsey
Álsey is a small uninhabited volcanic island west of Heimaey in the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago. Parts of the island are grass-covered, while steep cliffs and rocky shores dominate its coastline. It forms part of the distinctive volcanic and seabird landscape of the archipelago and can only be reached by boat in suitable conditions.
