A panoramic view dial stands on the summit of Helgafell near Stykkisholmur. Although the mountain rises only 73 metres, the summit provides extensive views across Breidafjordur, Thorsnes and the mountains of Snaefellsnes.
In clear conditions, mountains in the southern Westfjords and Dalir can also be seen. Helgafell is one of the best-known historic sites on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula.
