Landmannalaugar Campsite is one of Iceland's best-known highland campsites and a major base for hiking among the colourful mountains of Fjallabak.

The Laugavegur trail begins here and continues through Hrafntinnusker, Álftavatn and Hvanngil.

Additional information

Landmannalaugar campsite is beside the Iceland Touring Association hut. Facilities include toilets, showers, drinking water and washing-up sinks. Campers can use a communal shelter for cooking and eating but do not have access to the hut kitchen.
