Hvítárnes Campsite is located along the historic Kjölur route near Hvítárvatn and Langjökull.
Highland trips can be combined with a visit to Kerlingarfjöll Campsite.
The campsite is beside the Iceland Touring Association hut at Hvítárnes. Campers have access to toilets and drinking water but not to the hut kitchen.
