Stora-Sandfell Travel Service

Stora-Sandfell Travel Service is in Skriddalur south of Egilsstadir. It offers ten cottages of different types for two to four guests, as well as three rooms and a campsite. All cottages have kitchenettes and six have private bathrooms.

Cottages and self-contained accommodation can work well for travellers who prefer their own space. Access, opening periods and services may be seasonal, so check current information before arrival.

To place the stop in the wider context of a trip through the region, see Egilsstaðir and other destinations in the same part of Iceland.
