Skápadalur Shore is a coastal or beach area in the Westfjords, shaped by open shoreline, sea views and the surrounding landscape. Tides, light and weather can change the character of the coast significantly, making each visit look and feel different. The visit can be combined with Patreksfjörður and Skipið Garðar . Around Icelandic coasts, always keep a safe distance from strong surf and pay close attention to local conditions.

The place can form part of a wider trip through the Westfjords, combining naturally with other landscape, heritage and travel experiences depending on interests and season.

At Skápadalur near Patreksfjörður, Garðar BA 64 rests in the shallow shore. The vessel is Iceland's oldest steel ship and has become a popular coastal stop and photography location.
