Sæborgarfjara Beach is a coastal or beach area in Northeast Iceland, shaped by open shoreline, sea views and the surrounding landscape. Tides, light and weather can change the character of the coast significantly, making each visit look and feel different. The visit can be combined with Árskógssandur and Hríseyjar Church . Around Icelandic coasts, always keep a safe distance from strong surf and pay close attention to local conditions.
The place can form part of a wider trip through North Iceland, combining naturally with other landscape, heritage and travel experiences depending on interests and season.
Sæborgarfjara is a small sandy beach on the southern coast of Hrísey, close to the village. A small bridge provides access to the beach. Hrísey is reached by ferry from Árskógssandur.
