Helgustaðahreppur

Helgustaðahreppur was a former rural municipality in East Iceland, covering the area surrounding Eskifjörður. The district played an important role in the early development of settlement and fishing communities before merging with Eskifjörður and later the municipality of Fjarðabyggð.
