East Jökulsá

Austari-Jökulsá is one of the two main rivers of Skagafjörður. It originates from Hofsjökull glacier and flows north toward the sea east of Hegranes.

The river joins Vestari-Jökulsá near Tunguháls, forming the river system known as Héraðsvötn.
