Arbaer Reservoir was a regulating reservoir for Ellidaar Hydropower Plant in Reykjavik. The reservoir was formed by Arbaer Dam and was used to regulate water flow to the historic power station.
The dam and associated structures form an important part of Reykjavik's early electrification history. Today, Ellidaardalur is a popular recreational area where industrial heritage and nature meet.
