Álftavötn Campsite is a remote highland camping area used by hikers and travellers exploring Fjallabak.
Routes connect towards Hólaskjól and other highland destinations.
The campsite is beside the Útivist hut at Álftavötn. Summer facilities include toilets, running water, gas cooking facilities, kitchenware and an outdoor barbecue. Wardens at Strútur also oversee the site.
