Reykjavík Campsite

Reykjavík Campsite is a five star campsite perfectly located 3 km from the city centre. The Campsite can accommodate up to 650 persons in tents, cabins, cars or caravans so it is almost impossible that you will not find a place to stay. Therefore reservations are not required and spaces are not held. Groups (10+) of cars and caravans as well as big camping groups are asked to inform about their arrival in advance. As we only have two cabins, advance booking is recommended for them. The Campsite is open from May 15th - September 15th. 

In the last years the Reykjavik Campsite has been improving step by step its environmental approach. In this way, in 2012 the campsite received the Earth Check Assessed recognition, which confirms that the campsite has an action plan for participating in the sustainable business practices.

The prices for 2013 are as follows:
Overnight 1400 ISK per person, per night
Electricity 900 ISK per day
Cabins 9500 ISK per cabin, per night
Internet 300 ISK for 30 minutes (at the hostel)
Washing machine 450 ISK (at the hostel)
Dryer 450 ISK (at the hostel)
Breakfast 1250 ISK per person (at the hostel)

Children under 13 years of age stay for free when traveling with adults. Bookings are not needed for the campsite but groups of cars and caravans are asked to inform about their arrival in advance. Groups of 20+ persons get a 10% discount of the overnight charge.

The place can form part of a wider journey through Southwest Iceland, making it easy to combine the visit with other destinations in the region.
