Thjorsarlon is a storage reservoir on the upper Thjorsa river and forms part of the Kvislaveita diversion system. It is retained by Thjorsa Dam and is associated with Austurkvisl Dam and the Thjorsa canal.
The structures belong to the fifth stage of Kvislaveita, completed in 1997. Water from the reservoir is conveyed onward through the diversion system.
