Skálar Coast is a coastal or beach area in Northeast Iceland, shaped by open shoreline, sea views and the surrounding landscape. Skálar on Langanes contains the remains of a fishing village that flourished during the first half of the 20th century. The coastline and the sea shaped life in the settlement, where fishing was the foundation of the community.
