Reykjanes Geothermal Pool at Ísafjarðardjúp is an unusually large outdoor swimming pool supplied by the area's natural geothermal water.
Reykjanes has long been known for its geothermal activity. The pool was originally associated with the school that operated here and is slightly more than 50 metres long. Because of its size and naturally warm water, it has sometimes been described as one of Iceland's largest hot pots.
Reykjanes is located beside Ísafjarðardjúp and makes an interesting stop while travelling through the northern Westfjords.
