Krosslaug is a geothermal bathing place at Birkimelur in the southern Westfjords. It should not be confused with Krosslaug/Reykjalaug in West Iceland.
Geothermal water has long been used for bathing in the area. Birkimelur has both a developed swimming pool and a smaller geothermal hot pool surrounded by the dramatic landscape of the Westfjords.
Access and operating arrangements may change, so visitors should check current information before travelling.
