The Hamrar disc golf course is a fun and varied 18-hole disc golf course located above the Hamrar campsite and extending into Kjarnaskógur Forest.
The first hole is actually located inside the campsite, where players throw across one of the ponds in the area, providing a memorable start to the round. The course offers a good challenge and features both white and red tee pads, allowing players to choose their preferred difficulty level.
In the summer of 2018, the course was expanded to 18 holes and is today the only full-size 18-hole disc golf course in Iceland outside Gufunes in Reykjavík.
Scorecards and course maps are available at the service center on site, where disc golf discs are also for sale.
