Swimming pool
Hofsós Swimming Pool is a public swimming pool in North Iceland. Hofsós Swimming Pool is a 25-metre pool built on the seafront in Skagafjörður. Opened in 2010, it is especially known for the way the water surface visually merges with the sea and the view towards Drangey. A hot tub and children's wading pool are also part of the facility.
Swimming pools are an important part of everyday life in Iceland and can be a useful stop for travellers who want to swim, relax and experience local bathing culture. Facilities and opening hours can change, so it is sensible to check current information before visiting. While exploring North Iceland, it can also be useful to browse places around Akureyri and plan nearby stops as part of the same route.
