Skutafoss Waterfall

Skútafoss is a scenic waterfall in Southeast Iceland in the wider Hornafjörður area. The waterfall drops beside rocky cliffs in a sheltered landscape and is one of the smaller natural attractions that travellers can easily overlook while following the Ring Road. The waterfall and surrounding rock formations make an attractive photography stop, particularly when water levels are high. Skútafoss can be added to a journey between Höfn and the Eastfjords and provides a short nature stop away from the best-known attractions. Visitors should take care on wet rocks and around steep terrain close to the waterfall.
