Hallmundarhellir Cave
Hallmundarhellir is a lava cave in the Hallmundarhraun lava field in West Iceland, one of Iceland's most significant lava-cave regions.
Archaeological investigations have identified evidence of human activity inside the cave. For conservation reasons, precise location data have not been published in research reports.
The cave is therefore significant both geologically and archaeologically.
