Gautavík in Berufjörður contains protected ruins associated with an important medieval trading site and harbour. Historical sources refer to trade at Gautavík before commercial activity later shifted to Fýluvogur and Djúpivogur. The protected remains include groups of trading-booth ruins on both sides of Búðaá.
