Biskupslaug is a historic geothermal pool at Reykir in Hjaltadalur, Skagafjörður. The pool is closely connected with the history of the episcopal see at Hólar, and tradition records that bishops from Hólar used the spring for bathing from medieval times.
The small stone-built pool is a protected archaeological site. Visitors should therefore respect the site and follow current access guidance. It should not be treated as an ordinary public bathing pool.
A visit can be combined with Hólar in Hjaltadalur and other historic places in Skagafjörður.
Biskupslaug í Hjaltadal er sögulegur jarðhitastaður í Skagafirði sem tengist sögu Hóla og gömlum baðhefðum á Íslandi.
