About Red-throated Diver

The red-throated diver is a slender and powerful diving bird found on lakes and coastal waters in Iceland. It is recognized by its long neck and strong bill. Red-throated divers are often seen alone or in small groups.

Their diet consists mainly of fish caught by diving. They breed on northern lakes and are regular migrants through Iceland.
