About Barnacle Goose

The barnacle goose is a relatively small goose that regularly visits Iceland during migration. It is easily recognized by its black neck and white facial patch. Barnacle geese often gather in flocks on grasslands and wetlands.

Their diet consists of grasses and vegetation. They breed in Arctic regions and stay in Iceland only temporarily. Barnacle geese are common migrants.
