The dunlin is a small wader commonly seen in Iceland during migration. It
inhabits beaches, sandy shores, and wetlands. Dunlins are active birds,
constantly moving while feeding.
Their diet consists of small invertebrates and insects. They breed in
northern regions and mainly visit Iceland during passage. Dunlins are common
shoreline visitors.
