About White Wagtail

The white wagtail is a common migratory bird in Iceland, frequently found near rivers, streams, and wetlands. It is slender and agile, constantly wagging its long tail. White wagtails are among the earliest birds to return in spring.

Their diet mainly consists of insects. They nest in sheltered cavities and man-made structures. The white wagtail is widely regarded as a symbol of spring in Iceland.
