The goldcrest is the smallest bird in Europe and a rare visitor to Iceland.
It is easily recognized by its bright yellow or orange crown. The species
prefers coniferous forests and dense woodland.
Its diet mainly consists of small insects. Goldcrests are very active and
constantly moving. They are only occasionally observed in Iceland.
