About European Storm Petrel

The European storm petrel is a tiny seabird that spends almost its entire life at sea. It comes ashore to breed in burrows and crevices on remote islands.

It feeds on small marine organisms near the sea surface. At breeding colonies it is mainly active after dark, helping it avoid predators.
