The field mouse is a small rodent living wild in Iceland. It inhabits
grasslands, heathlands, and areas near human structures. Field mice are mainly
nocturnal.
Their diet consists of seeds, grasses, and plant material. They build nests
underground or in sheltered locations. Field mice are an important food
source for predators.
