The house spider is common indoors in Iceland and lives closely alongside
humans. It is often found in basements, storage rooms, and corners of
buildings. House spiders are fast-moving but generally avoid people.
Their diet consists of flies and other small invertebrates caught indoors.
They build simple webs or hunt without webs. House spiders can be found
throughout the year.
